On Sunday, April 24th, we will celebrate Mass for Peace and a Flag Raising to commemorate the anniversary of the Easter Uprising on the New Haven Green at 9am.
Following the Mass there will be a ceremony to honour the Patriots of 1916 and the Hunger Strikers.
This annual public ceremony serves as a reminder to all ethnic groups that freedom and liberty carry a high price.
Local honourees are remembered in a roll call and the original “Proclamation of Freedom” will be read.
