On Sunday, March 10, Grand Marshal Courtney Lundgren Connors had the great honor of leading our Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade down Chapel and Church followed by approximately 3,000 marchers. These marchers are part of competitive groups who strive to improve every year and they are judged and ranked for their performance. We honor the winning units with a plaque recognizing them at our annual Awards Night.
A long tradition on parade day has been to rename Church Street for a deceased member of our Irish Community. In 2019, the parade committee selected to honor Theresa McHale Hinckley for her many years of dedication to the Irish Community. On April 5, 2019, her family will be presented with the commemorative sign.
