Parade Queen Selection

2018 Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Queen & Honor Attendant were selected at the NHGF&HC on Saturday, February 3, 2018. 

Congratulation to the 2018 Parade Queen Bridget Judd and the Honor Attendant Maureen Heeran.

Bridget Judd, 2018 Parade Queen Bridget is the daughter of Tim and Kristin Judd. Her ancestors are from County Limerick and County Mayo.  She is employed as a literacy paraprofessional by the Branford Board of Education.  Bridget’s personal ambition to be child and family advocate for those in need allowing them to receive the resources necessary to succeed and live the best life possible.   Her interests include playing and coaching soccer, playing Gaelic football, hiking, traveling, going to the beach and reading. Her parents are members of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club.

Maureen Heeran, 2018 Honor Attendant Maureen is the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Heeran.  Her ancestors are from County Leitrim.  She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2015 and is currently employed by St. Vincent’s Medical Center as a registered nurse. She has plans to obtain her Master of Nursing.   Maureen’s personal ambition is continue her Irish step dancing career and qualify for the North American Championships.  Her interests include Irish step dancing, yoga and reading.  Her parents are members of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club.

   

Their first official appearance will be at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Ball on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Anthony’s Ocean View, New Haven. 

They will be featured in the 2017 St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 11, 2018  in New Haven and appear throughout the year at many Irish community events.

Contestants were to be be 17 years of age, single, a member, daughter or grand daughter of one of the four Irish  Societies: New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club, Knights of St. Patrick, West Haven Irish American Club or Ancient Order of Hibernian’s.
