Another year and another birthday for our valiant Co. Mayo poster girl Mary Anne Campbell Walsh. Mary Anne who is the mother of club member Anne Paulsen was born in Charlestown, Co Mayo on April 9th 1908….that is 109 years ago! Congratulations Mary Anne from all your friends at the IACC. For many years Mary Anne was a regular attendee at our Annual Festival, accompanied by her son-in-law Al Paulsen.
A sincere thank you to Steve Bozzuto for his generous donation to our festival of the dumpster. This is a tremendous savings to our event and is most appreciated.
Many thanks to Pat Whelan for his generous donations of CDs to sell at our festival – all sold and made many a person happy to add to their collection of Irish music.
Great job Enda – thanks so much to Enda Cox for volunteering and cutting the grass on our field during Mike Gethings’ absence.
Festival Thank You:
I thank each and every one of you who helped put on our festival this year. Without your help this huge event could not take place. It is a lot of hard work but it is great to show off our Irish culture. My plan is to go over with the Executive Board our Repot in October and I will have a full report for all the members at the October General Membership Meeting. Thank you again, Bill Mackey 2017 Festival Chairman.
