“What a great evening it was on November 4th at Fantasia. I hope everyone enjoyed the Banquet as much as I did. I’m grateful and honored to be chosen as 2017 Irish Man of the Year. Congratulations again to Angelique Burke, Irish Woman of the Year, on her well-deserved honor. It was a privilege to share the evening with her and her family. Sincere thanks to the Banquet Committee for all their hard work in organizing such a wonderful event. A great job by the Kitty Kelly Band and Fantasia staff. Thank you to Presidents Eileen Roxbee and John Joe Mackey for their lovely introductions and support. Sincere thank you to my Family, friends, fellow committee members, coaches, players, teammates and club members for attending. It warmed my heart to share the smiles and laughs with all of you. I’m so proud to be part of this club. Slainte!” John McGowan.
I am so grateful for all the love I felt on Saturday evening November 4th. It was an amazing night and a great honor to have been chosen as Irish Woman of the Year for 2017. Congratulations to John McGowan on being Irish Man of the Year 2017. Your dedication to the club and diligence shine through. It’s truly a well-deserved tribute. I was honored to share the night with you. My sincerest thanks go out to banquet Chairman Mike Faherty and all the banquet committee members for this honor. It was a wonderful evening that takes so much time and hard work to put together, it truly shows. Thank you to my family and friends who came out to celebrate with us and many thanks to our club family members who came out as well. Thank you to the Nomination Committee, Executive Board, IACC President Eileen Roxbee and NHGF&HC President John Mackey for your support and acknowledgement.
