Parade Queen Selection

2017 Parade Queen and Honor Attendant Selection

The Queen and the Honor Attendant were selected at a Queen’s Competition sponsored by the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club on Saturday, February 11 at the Irish American Community Center.   Seven contestants represented the four Irish Societies (New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club, Knights of St. Patrick, West Haven Irish American Club or Ancient Order of Hibernians) in the night’s festivities.

Their first official appearance will be at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Ball on Friday, February 23 at Anthony’s Ocean View Restaurant.  They will be featured in the 2017 St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 12  in New Haven and appear throughout the year at many Irish community events.
