Taras & Claddaghs Workshop

On behalf of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club and in response to the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee announcing that the 2021 parade will not take place until March 2022, due to the pandemic, we would like to inform you of our plans going forward.  The Gaelic Club will not host our annual Parade Queen Selection this year. The 2020 selected Parade Queen Morgan Daley and 2020 selected Honor Attendant Megan Burke will continue to function in their rolls and will represent the four Irish societies and The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade for 2021-2022. 

Therefore, the Taras & Claddaghs Workshop will not take place in 2022. 

Join us January 26, 2020 from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm

for the Taras and Claddaghs Workshop

at the NHGF&HC/IACC, 9 Venice Pl, East Haven

This workshop presents cultural enrichment to future Parade Queens of the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

In addition to the innovative and fun-filled workshop presenting Irish Culture, the Taras and Claddaghs will have the opportunity to be showcased the night of the Parade Queen Competition in February 8, 2020.

All young ladies whose family holds membership in the four Associated Irish Societies:  New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club/Irish American Community Center, Knights of St. Patrick, West Haven Irish American Club, or Ancient Order of Hibernians are eligible to participate.

New and returning participants are encouraged to attend.

Taras are young ladies 6 – 9 years of age and Claddaghs are ages 10 – 13  

Registration is $12.00 and can be paid the afternoon of the workshop.
